WSR Growth & Innovation Awards

Wealth Solutions Report is delighted to launch our inaugural annual WSR Growth & Innovation Awards, recognizing excellence in developing and executing unique and impactful strategies and solutions among wealth management firms, industry solutions providers and individual industry leaders.

Each quarter, the WSR editorial team, with participation from select members of our Editorial Advisory Board, will recognize growth, innovation and impactful strategies among wealth management firms, third-party solutions providers and industry leaders.

We’ll be continuously updating this page with each quarter’s specific award categories, criteria and guidance on submissions.

The award categories for the first two quarters of this year are Hybrid RIA / Independent Financial Advisor Group of the Year, and Business Development Leader of the Year.

For Hybrid RIA / Independent Financial Advisor Group of the Year, two winners and three honorable mentions will be named during the week of April 11.  Awards are open now, firms can nominate themselves and all submissions are due by no later than March 15, 2022.

For Business Development Leader of the Year, two winners will be named, along with three honorable mentions, during the week of June 20.  Awards are open now, individuals can nominate themselves and all submissions are due by no later than May 16, 2022.

Hybrid RIA or Independent FA Group of the Year
Independent FA groups – either with or without their own hybrid RIA entities – that recruit, retain and help grow the businesses of independent financial advisors who are conducting both brokerage and fee-based advisory business

Criteria: At least $1 billion in total assets.

  1. Share your top YoY growth metrics, # advisors recruited to your entity. # net new assets brought aboard, current total assets (brokerage, advisory, insurance, retirement) overseen by advisors who are part of your group.
  2. What are the top 3 ways you add value to FAs in recruiting/transition process or after they’ve joined your group?
  3. Describe the values of your firm in 75 words or less.

Business Development Leaders of the Year
In-House Business Development (at firm with min 150 FAs) –
Recognizes a senior executive working in-house whose responsibilities include oversight or leadership of biz dev, including either FA recruiting or M&A or both. At RIAs, hybrid RIAs and IBD / RIA firms

Criteria: Quantitatively, how have you driven growth at your firm YoY

  1. What are the top 3 ways you add value to FAs in recruiting/transition process or after they’ve joined your group?
  2. Describe the values of your firm in 75 words or less.

Winners and honorable mentions will be profiled in one of our weekly issues in the first half of 2022, and we will also recognize each of them via LinkedIn and our e-blasts to the entire WSR community.

There will also be a digital badge that can be used by winners and honorable mentions for their email signatures and websites, so you can share your recognition seamlessly with the wealth management industry and beyond!
