Wealthech firm TIFIN said Tuesday that it appointed Rob Pettman as its Chief Revenue Officer and President.

Pettman joins TIFIN from LPL Financial, where he worked for over 19 years in various roles, most recently as Executive Vice President, Wealth Management Solutions, according to his LinkedIn profile.

In that role at LPL, he was responsible for its wealth management platforms, including overseeing investment product distribution, advisory platforms, research, retirement plan business, and relationships with product and technology companies.

Throughout his 19 years at LPL, Pettman worked in various roles across product management and wealth management strategy.

At TIFIN, Pettman will “oversee revenue generation strategies, forge strategic partnerships, and drive the company’s growth initiatives across TIFIN’s companies,” the firm said.

TIFIN pointed to Pettman’s “proven track record of leadership and success in the financial services sector,” noting that he “brings a wealth of experience and expertise to TIFIN.”

At TIFIN, Pettman will report directly to Vinay Nair, its Founder and CEO.

Pettman’s experience and understanding of the financial advisory sector makes him the “perfect fit to help TIFIN’s growth as we enter a phase of scaling and deployment,” according to Nair.

Meanwhile, Pettman’s “familiarity with advisor, asset manager, and insurance provider frustrations will help us with relevant ongoing innovation,” Nair said.

Commenting on his appointment to TIFIN, Pettman said: “TIFIN is on the leading edge of applying AI technology to empower financial advisors with better intelligence and to enhance client outcomes. I am looking forward to collaborating with Vinay and his teams across the TIFIN portfolio to drive continued success and innovation.”
