Seasoned Investment And Portfolio Expert Gregory Pool Joins NewEdge Wealth, Appointed To Investment Committee
NewEdge Wealth announced that Gregory Pool joined its eight-person Miami office based in the Brickell neighborhood as a Managing Director. Pool will be responsible for advising clients on fixed income and equity investment strategies.
Pool arrives from Wellington Management, where he worked since 2000 and was a Partner and Senior Managing Director with responsibility for multi-billion-dollar global equity portfolios focused on long and long/short strategies.
Pool will work with team leader Pat Dwyer, a Managing Director and Private Wealth Advisor, and join the firm’s Investment Committee, which includes firm CEO and Co-Founder Rob Sechan, CIO Cameron Dawson and Senior Portfolio Strategist Ben Emons.
“Bringing Gregory aboard serves to bolster our portfolio management services and drive continued growth as we utilize his years of experience in managing global portfolios and teams,” said Sechan. “Our Miami office opened less than a year ago, and we continue to attract incredibly talented individuals to that team.”
Launched in December 2020, NewEdge Wealth has grown to eight offices in addition to its Stamford, Connecticut, headquarters, including the June openings of offices in Nashville, with former UBS advisor Richard Ina, and San Francisco, with John Froley, recruited from First Republic, as well as the March opening of its Bentonville, Arkansas, office. Josh Gully, formerly of Morgan Stanley, joined in April, based at the firm’s headquarters.
“I look forward to working with NewEdge Wealth’s team and helping the Miami office continue to expand under Pat’s leadership,” said Pool. “South Florida remains one of the best markets to serve ultra-high net worth families, especially as they consider generational transfer in a turbulent market environment.”
NewEdge Wealth serves ultra-high net worth families, family offices and institutions and is a division of NewEdge Capital Group, which serves over 300 financial advisors and recruited $9.1 billion in expected assets for full-year 2022. NewEdge Capital Group is the wealth management business unit of EdgeCo Holdings.
