Digital Investing Platform Provider Plans Enhancing Current Solutions And Innovating New Tools For BDs, RIAs And Financial Institution Wealth Management Divisions
Digital investing platform FusionIQ has appointed John Kimbro as Chief Technology Officer. Kimbro will report to CEO Mark C. Healy as he takes the reins of the Massachusetts-based firm’s technology solutions for RIAs, broker-dealers and wealth management divisions of financial institutions.

Healy said, “[Kimbro] has been at the forefront of the digital revolution in financial services at some of the nation’s most consequential companies, and he brings a passion for developing cutting-edge platforms that elevate the advisor and investor service experience.”

Kimbro brings extensive experience in technology, operations and strategy from over two decades with Fidelity and almost 12 years with Bank of America, and will focus on enhancing FusionIQ’s existing offerings while innovating new solutions for firms, advisors and clients.

The firm aims to drive growth and efficiency for advisors through cost-effective, white-label, customizable solutions with integration across data aggregation, reporting and trading. RIAs, banks, credit unions and others may offer FusionIQ’s solutions in an advisor-directed manner, a client self-directed experience or a combination of these.

“I’ve spent my career at the intersection of business and technology, because that’s where you can make a real difference.” Kimbro said. “Even the best technology, without a compelling business rationale, is just another shiny object. But when top-tier technology is effectively harnessed to a clear vision for fundamentally transforming a service experience at a significantly reduced cost, true innovation is created.”

He continued, “Having had the privilege of getting to know multiple wealthtech leaders over the years, I knew from the outset that FusionIQ offers truly differentiated value that positions the company to grow on an accelerated basis.”
The appointment of Kimbro comes shortly after the firm appointed John Guthery as Chief Investment Officer in July. With over two decades’ experience, Guthery previously held management roles at Park Avenue Securities, Voya and LPL in alternative investments, market research, platform enhancements and due diligence.
