Advisor Group Brings on $203 Million Boston-area OSJ, Sanctuary Wealth Tucks in $460 Million Texas Firm, Raymond James Hires $600 Million Colorado Team

Due to the abundance of advisor moves involving RIAs, independent broker-dealers and wirehouses across the country, Wealth Solutions Report has launched a new Weekly Recruitment Roundup to capture more of this deal flow.

This recurring piece will complement our pre-existing monthly Transitions, Transactions & Promotions column while filling in some much needed gaps in between those larger entries with coverage across the space from small recruitments and midrange moves to multi-billion-dollar transitions. Our first weekly edition covers wins by Advisor Group, Sanctuary Wealth and Raymond James.

1. Advisor Group Brings on Brian Falconer’s Wealth Management Resource Group

Brian Falconer and his team of 16 registered representatives have affiliated their Braintree, Mass.-based OSJ, Wealth Management Resource Group, with Advisor Group through the IBD network’s member firm SagePoint Financial.

Advisors must be seen and heard

The team, which oversees $203 million in client assets, comes from Securian Financial Services. Falconer, who began his career at New England Financial, has more than 20 years of industry experience. At Securian, he provided onboarding support and continual practice management services for advisors.

“We chose SagePoint Financial because of shared values around leadership and cultivating relationships,” Falconer said in the press release. “Our advisors need to feel seen and heard, and SagePoint offers the network we need to grow our business.”

2. Sanctuary Wealth Tucks in The Alteri Group at Partner Firm 6 Degrees Wealth

The Alteri Group, a six-member team formerly at Merrill Lynch, has affiliated with 6 Degrees Wealth, a partner firm of Sanctuary Wealth. The Lufkin, Texas-based team brings $460 million in assets under management to 6 Degrees Wealth, which also consists of the Texas teams Concenture Wealth Management, G Squared Private Wealth and the Hardcastle Group

Max Alvis, Managing Director of The Alteri Group at 6 Degrees Wealth, is joined by advisors Will Alvis and Alexis Hudson Pigg, registered client associate Jennifer Hansard, and client associates Elisabeth Alvis Kennedy and Viridiana Cruz. Max Alvis previously spent 31 years at Merrill Lynch. Sanctuary Wealth President Vince Fertitta and 6 Degrees Wealth CEO George Georgiades also spent decades working at Merrill Lynch in Texas until breaking away in 2019.

 A good succession plan

“It also made sense at this point in my career, although I’m not planning to retire, to think about a succession plan,” Max Alvis said in the press release. “I know the character of the people at Sanctuary and that means a lot to me.”
