Might Russian Hackers Target Your Business?

How Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine Could Increase Your Cybersecurity Risk, When a Firm Should Consider Establishing an ESOP and More

To My Fellow WSR Community Members:

The images and stories from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine shocked and saddened us over the past two months.  At the same time, it’s also easy for people to feel like the conflict is so far away, and though we may affect the conflict with charity support, it shouldn’t affect us on a practical level.

But is this actually the case?

No one’s safe!

In this interconnected world, many experts are making the case that U.S. businesses can no longer afford the presumption that something on a different continent can’t adversely affect our businesses.

Russian hackers have a reputation for a reason – they’re very skilled at what they do – and combining their skill with a government keen to retaliate against the U.S. for supporting Ukraine yields a possible enhanced cybersecurity threat for private American businesses completely unengaged in geopolitics.
