As Part of Ongoing Diversity and Inclusion Initiative FSI’s Member Firms Will Team With INROADS to Create Mentorships and Career Paths

During their annual OneVoice conference of leaders from across the wealth management industry, the Financial Services Institute (FSI) announced a strategic partnership with INROADS, a non-profit organization devoted to advancing the professional success of young people from ethnically diverse backgrounds living in underserved communities.

Defining goals and creating a roadmap to achieve those goals = success

Furthering its diversity and inclusion initiative to increase representation of women and people of color in the independent financial services industry, FSI, the leading advocacy organization for the industry, will provide opportunities for FSI member firms and sponsors to work closely with INROADS to create a road map reflecting their specific diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) goals, challenges and opportunities in coordination with the firm’s existing DEI programs.

In line with each firm’s DEI goals, INROADS will create mentorships to further the professional development of high school and college students and foster more diverse and inclusive work environments.

Dale Brown, President and CEO, Financial Services Institute

FSI President and CEO Dale Brown stated that “FSI is uniquely positioned to help address the underrepresentation of women and people of color within our space.” Expressing FSI’s long-term commitment to the strategic partnership, Mr. Brown continued, “In the months and years to come, we will work to ensure not only that the industry works better for everyone, but that it is more reflective of society.”

Forest T. Harper, Jr., President and CEO, INROADS

INROADS President and CEO Forest T. Harper, Jr. said that the partnership “will increase the presence, readiness and visibility of financial advisers of color.”
