As we near year-end 2021, it’s clear that client prospecting, marketing and FA recruiting have irrevocably changed in our highly digitized industry

Well, it’s really happening: We are officially in the final few weeks left for 2021, and the December holiday season is in full swing.
For me, this time of year has always meant taking stock of the year gone by and reconnecting with friends, family and loved ones.
It’s fitting, then, that this week’s edition of WSR is focused on the different ways firms and financial advisors can drive deeper, more meaningful and more productive connections.
From how financial advisors can better connect with existing and prospective, to how business development executives and recruiting professionals can more effectively connect with financial advisors, digital solutions are top of mind for the entire industry.
With that in mind, here’s what we have in store this week for you:
- In our Wallet Share section, Contributing Writer Ellen Sheng looks into the future of digital marketing, lead generation and client prospecting, drawing insights from experts at FMG Suite, White Glove, SmartAsset and Concourse Financial Group. Though digital marketing and engagement tools have been available for years, the pandemic accelerated the pace of adoption. What choice have we had, really, with in-person events mostly limited and only slowly coming back?
- In our Digital Domain section, we have a profile feature with AdvizorPro Founder Michael Magnan, whose company produces a comprehensive database to help recruitment teams, asset managers and all manner of advisor-facing professionals connect with financial advisors. In today’s competitive environment, it pays to have the cleanest, most actionable contact data, and the old manual ways of collecting contact information just won’t cut it anymore.
- Also in our Upmarket section, WSR’s Senior Editor Janeesa Hollingshead takes a deep dive into a unique alliance just announced from three prominent names in the cryptocurrency investing space – 3iQ, BITRIA and Gemini. The three firms have teamed to launch Q-MAP, a digital asset SMA and model portfolio platform that offers crypto investment options U.S. institutional investors, family offices, RIAs, and wealth management platforms looking for cryptocurrency exposure.
As 2021 winds down, we’ll be slowing the flow of content to your inboxes to give the WSR staff much-needed holiday breaks.
