A former Charles Schwab & Co. brokerage customer who was sued almost two weeks ago for allegedly absconding with $1.2 million that the firm mistakenly deposited into her account has been arrested, according to news reports.
Kelyn Spadoni, a former 911 dispatcher in Harvey, Louisiana, was arrested on April 7 and charged with bank fraud, illegal transmission of monetary funds and theft greater than $25,000, according to news reports citing local authorities.
Spadoni, 33, had allegedly used the misdirected funds to buy a house and a Hyundai Genesis sports utility vehicle, according to a ”New York Times” report citing the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, where Spadoni had worked for four and a half years before she was fired over the incident.
